Working on fixing bugs, update soon (maybe)
After completing the project I can see where I could've done better because I have the time now to self reflect - self reflection after a project is very important and in this post I'll try to do that in a sufficient manner.
Firstly, a lesson that I am forever learning is that code maintainability must remain a priority throughout. Towards the end things started to get messy and I felt like I was forever patching small issues, sure those smaller issues might have been really simple fixes but it adds up. I ran into an error in the main Tower shooting script that I was trying to debug for days on end. Still working on it now too. I'll probably refactor some of the tower code, remove uncessecary function and clean it up a little.
Secondly, a positive note I think most of the team (me included) managed our time really well and whilst there was a few members who hadn't done as much as others, and one that hadn't done anything there was a really good level of communication that stayed consistant throughout. This made the project a lot more managable, so there's a pro.
I don't think we overscoped, the core game loop is there - but the two bugs we were having cause that loop to collapse majorly. If I can find the time I'll work on fixing the small issues and refactoring the rather lengthy tower shooting script. If anything, It'll be something I do over Christmas to keep me preoccupied.
